The number of Americans diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes has risen by more than 40 percent over the last decade, and the July issue of Health Affairs is devoted to papers discussing how we can prevent diabetes and improve care and outcomes for patients. On July 19 a group of authors and analysts gathered online to present their work and participate in a discussion of issues including care management, quality measures, nonmedical interventions, payment models, and prevention.
